Michael Murty is a fantastic showman and performer.  Having booked Big Pete & the Grim Reaper for hundreds of shows over the years, the team have always put on a great show for whoever has booked them – often having to overcome some of the logistical nightmares that come with running a professional monster truck team – with not one but two monster trucks.  In that sense, I believe it’s safe to say the Big Pete team are ‘old school’ – ‘the Show Must Go On’!

“Being new in post last year, when Monster Trucks were suggested for the Grand Arena entertainment, I did have concerns about (a) the noise and (b) the mess that would be left behind.  Having spoken to Michael, he allayed all my concerns with his total commitment to making sure the arena was left in exactly the same condition as it was before the Trucks went in.  True to his word, I can honestly say both the prep area and the Grand Arena were left as he found them and I had no concerns for the acts that followed his performances – and trust me I had it checked and re-checked.  Whilst the noise of the trucks was another concern, our other showing rings were managed with this in mind, and it didn’t cause a problem at all.  So, if you seriously want to boost your gate numbers and provide great entertainment for those who attend, then Monster Trucks are a definite consideration.   We had crowds 10 deep around the arena for both performances, all of whom absolutely loved them.  Michael and his team were also brilliant with the kids (both young and old) who visited their stand throughout the day, and I’ve been receiving emails and calls since their appearance thanking us for getting them to Surrey.  The whole of the Big Pete team are an absolute pleasure to deal with and will definitely be invited back to the show in future years.”

Each time I have found Michael and his entire crew to be thoroughly professional and their performance to be a great crowd pleasers. “In early 2018, we approached Michael Murty and his team, to enquire about the possibility of the Monster Trucks, appearing in our main arena.

Our land owner, however, had serious reservations and concerns. The fields are grazed by cattle and mown for silage and he expressed concerns about the possibility of rubbish, parts or glass fragments being left in the field.

We had an on site meeting with Michael and he professionally reassured us, that the field would be left in good order after the displays. We were so pleased that we went ahead with the booking , fabulous crowds, happy visitors and….as good as his word…a clean and tidy field afterwards.

The team take preparation very seriously and the whole performance is meticulous and damage kept to a pre designated area and checked thoroughly. Professional throughout.
